Things to Consider about Today’s Active Killers

Getting the Right Training

Owner a firearm requires a few things such as keeping them out of the hands of unauthorized people and getting the training so we know how to use them property and effectively.

When thinking about training and evaluation trainer make sure you know the following
– What is the instructors knowledge of the topic?
– Can the instructor teach the topic effectively?
– Are YOU ready for this level of training?
– Do you have the proper equipment or will the equipment be provided for the training course?

What Do You NEED as a New Instructor?

Instructors starting out need to figure a few things out and can acquire a lot additional items over time for their classroom

The first requirement is determine what certifications you need (or have) and come up with a name for the training.  You make already have certs to get your company going or you may need to complete a USCCA or NRA course to become certified.  For the name of your business it be Joe’s Firearm Training or you could decide to come up with a different kind of name like American Defense Training.   Remember that the name should describe the business you are in and not just one piece of it.  i.e. we chose to go with ‘Training’ versus ‘Firearms  or Guns’ because we try to offer defense training no matter what it is.

Kentucky now accepting USCCA CCW Course

If you are a USCCA certified instructor this is good new.

The USCCA just received approval from the Kentucky State Police that they will accept the USCCA CCW course for the Kentucky CCDW license.

A written confirmation is being sent to the USCCA from the Kentucky State Police and this will be posted on the USCCAInstructors.com website once they receive it.

Note: this is only for the Concealed Carry (CCW) class and the Home Defense and Basic Firearms Class.
